Adult Swim, the cable and satellite network that is paired with Cartoon Network, is listing on its schedule that it will air the Samurai 7 television anime series on Sunday, August 19 at 12:30 a.m. The first episode will then air again at 3:30 a.m. The show will air during the revived Toonamiblock, and will replace Deadman Wonderland, which is ending its 12-episode run on August 12.

The series previously aired on the IFC premium cable channel in 2006. The show has also aired on the FUNimation Channel.

Samurai 7 is a futuristic remake of Akira Kurosawa's world renowned 1954 film Seven Samurai. The show originally aired in Japan in 2004. Eureka 7 will also Debut on August 19, and replace Cowboy Beobop.

Last night's Toonami bump also advertises that Eureka 7 will be making it's return (replacing Cowboy Bebop).

New Schedule (hasn't changed yet on AS's site):

12:00 - Bleach

12:30 - Samurai 7 (part of the Lucky 7s)

01:00 - Casshern Sins

01:30 - Eureka 7 (part of the Lucky 7s)

02:00 - FMA: Brotherhood

02:30 - GITS : SAC 2nd Gig

That's cool that they're getting new stuff already. Usually they would just re-air the same stuff over and over whenever a show ran it's course. May have to watch Eureka 7 this time around, I never got into it back in the day.

So I am guessing that Eureka 7 will start when Cassern Sins is over?

Excited to watch Samurai Seven, as I love Akira Kurosawa.

No! Starts this Saturday along with Samurai 7. Eureka 7 is replacing Cowboy Bebop, which also finished it's run last Saturday.

Cowboy Bebop, finally takes a break after like 4 years straight of re-runs. I can't remember it not being on the air in the years I've watched [as] on Saturday nights.

Anyway I'm hella excited for Eureka Seven. It's my 7th favorite anime. I'm a little puzzled at their decision to get it. I heard it didn't do so well when [as] first aired it.

As for Samurai 7, I'll check it out. Haven't seen it before.
