Gundam

Since that thing happened I wonder will I ever see Gundam in the states again?

It will be most regrettable if not.

Will I see any giant robot anime in the states again?

Does anybody know?

Re: Gundam

It's unknown, but I won't be surprised if FUNimation starts to license Gundam. Gundam though as I heard aside from like Wing, Unicorn, and maybe SEED didn't really sell well.

Re: Gundam

What thing happened? Either way, gundam is pretty big, so another studio would probly take it if bandai doesn't have it. Look at yu-gi-oh 4kids lost their rights to it but the new series still got dubbed.

He's talking about Bandai (The Gundam monopoly) basically shutting down.

Thanks for that info, I had no idea it had gotten that bad for Bandai.

People knew for years they were having problems. Less and less licenses, slower releases, tons of delays, and more. Media Blasters has been having the same problems, but worse (They're down to like 5 employees). They're greatly struggling to get things on shelves, and back in-stock. It takes months for them to reprint a single anime release.

Re: Gundam

It's too bad about all that, when I think of gundam I think about the lovely animation, the interring story plots the characters,

especially Z gundam that takes place after the original series. Now tell me what do we have here that can match the

excellence of gundam? And no DC or Marvel TV universes

Re: Gundam

There are plenty of anime out there better than Gundam to be honest, including stuff in Gundam's own genre, mecha. Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, Eureka Seven...

Re: Gundam

I mean cartoons in the US. I know gundam isn't perfect but it's more hardcore then the stuff we have here.

Not including the DC or Marvel cartoons nor Gargoyles because at least they try to be hardcore story wise.
