Tenchu PS3?

Is there ever gonna be a Tenchu game for the PS3?

I really hope so I love the Tenchu games and I don't care what anyone says about them!

I love the series too. Well, up to The Wrath of Heaven. After that it totally fell apart. I'm pretty sure that TWoH is making its way on to the PSP as a port. However, I'd prefer a PSone release of the original on PSN.

Love the Tenchu franchise (even though the story in "Fatal Shadows" sucked!) and have been pissed with what has been done with it over the last few years. "Wrath Of Heaven" was the last great Tenchu game.

I can never resist a Tench thread. I love Tenchu. The series just has a few bad seeds, but overall the game is still classic and revolutionary in the stealth genre.

Believe it or not my favorites are the least critically acclaimed. Fatal Shadows and Tenchu Z. I love them to death. The level design in Fatal Shadows is amazing. And glad to see Ayame having a starring role. Tenchu Z they did drop the ball a bit by making the levels a lot smaller, repetitive, and repeat. I think there were 50 levels to beat. Most of them are clones from each other. Still I love it.

The only Tenchu Game I can think of that absolutely SUCKED, was the Tenchu for the Wii. Horrible Horrible game. I'm struggling to even beat it. And what's even more absurd is that it has the original devs from the first game. They took everything out that was good. No exploring. No getting on rooftops. You just pummel through the level and shake the controller at the bad guys.

But another really really bad Tenchu game is the downloadable arcade Tenchu game on the "red ring" system. Just horrible.

I would love to see a HD upgrade of the first game. But other than that Would definitely love to see an all new Tenchu game exclusive to the PS3. If not exclusive no biggie, but still.

But after Assassins Creed, they would need a complete overhaul. And the devs over at From Software I believe have lost their touch. (Ninja Blade anyone?) I don't think they have the determination or the heart to make a true and successful Tenchu game. If they did make another one, I fear it would be another crapfest. I would love to see another dev take over and give it a complete overhaul. There still hasn't been a true ninja game for next gen. Ninja Gaiden is Hack n Slash, where is the stealth?

I can't help but think sometimes when playing Assassins Creed that this is what Tench could have been, or should be.

As for buying Tenchu on the PSN store, why? You can literally go out and buy it on Ebay for $4 for a physical copy in great condition.

They ported Tenchu Wrtah of Heaven and Fatal Shadows to the PSP they are called Tenchu San Portable and Tenchu Red!

the recent PSP tenchu game was awful. The whole point of tenchu was the freedom to sneak around an open environment (or just fight if you prefer). But that stupid ubisoft game only had a few paths already decided for you, and when you got caught you had to fight in first person view pressing whatever the screen told you. I hate when I can't just play a game and have to do that stupid simon says garbage: Press O, press up, your dead!

U are right on the money my friend I played the PSP version and they completely got rid of the freedom that made Tenchu so great I loved going around entire villages killing whoever I wanted without any set options!

The game has alot of cool features though I wish they could take all the good from that game and the gameplay of wrath of heaven and make a PS3 game out of it!

Or my other idea is to make a game based on when Riki went to the future through the portal in wrath of heaven and have stealth in a moder world!

I agree. And can you believe this Tenchu game was developed from the original developers of the first game?
