Not really, I still can connect to servers and play co-op, if you need the stuff, Ive got it

Supposedly if you log into EA.com with another game, quit out of it, and then log into Mecenaries 2 you can connect to EA that way. The game is about what, five years old? It wasn't bad, but all good things come to an end.

Its not all about online, Some people just want to play co-op or versus with a real world friend, who may not have the same system or own the game, or family that live in a household with out multiple PS3s

Very valid point. Still, it sure would be nice of EA to issue a minor patch for the game so it is still playable.. I ran in to this issue a few years back and had to buy a used copy of Bad Company, sign in to EA and then Mercs worked. EA is just irritating. C&C Red Alert 3 had a game freezing audio issue. Their fix was to switch your PS3 audio out to Stereo and then play the game. Thx...

Who's going to make it? Pandemic doesn't exist anymore, and they've all probably found other jobs in the industry, and support doesn't "fall to Sony" by default. The is essentially abaondon ware, and has been left in the field. It's a six year old game, and it's stopped selling, so there's no justification to update it.

Fair point about Pandemic. EA LA had not yet become Danger Close at the time I was playing RA3. A poor selling game so why fix it?
