They have not abandoned MAG, (I dont even play it) Pod cast even said the majority of their resources are focusing on finishing Socom.

PODCAST? LOL You seriously dont believe all of that do you? They spent two PODcasts talking about the new "CLAN WARS" Que and that went by the wayside.
If they would just be upront and answer the communities question it would be much better but they dont. THye ignore it. Thats a fact. Look at thier presence on the MAG forum. NON EXISTANT. half the thread daily are pleading with ZIPPER to let us know whats going on. But they dont for some odd reason.......

I personally don't play MAG, but I work at a gamestop and I always here about how MAG has been abandoned by ZIPPER. (Take that for what its worth) I mean, who knows, they could just be bitter gamers. Although if that is true, thats pretty weak on Zippers part, not supporting an online only game not even a year after launch. I dont really give a poop about MAG anyways, it was a waste of Zippers time. Good thing they spent a couple years working on MAG instead of a new SOCOM, thanks for the loyalty Zipper :)

is this a joke they worked on MAG for over a year after it was released. They actually kept updating and keeping users informed. They gave MAG way more support then they had to.
And more than most developers. I would applaud Zipper for that kind of support.

MAG hasnt been out for a year yet. And they stopped support months ago. (REAL SUPPORT)
I believe you are simply wrong. However, just in case I am wrong, please define real support.

David2Crazy wrote:They spent a lot more time working on MAG with patches and DLC than most developers do with their shooters. I think the amount of time they spent on MAG after release, even though it wasn't a huge hit, says a lot for the kind of developer they are. You can bet that if SOCOM 4 is even slightly more successful than MAG was, which I'm sure it will be, that they will be supporting it for a while - as long as the demand and community is there.
As they should. Um Patches are to fix the game at least in MAGS case all the patches were for the most part fixxing errors and exploits. IF you guys want to put your head in the sand thats fine but the reality is MAG DOMINATION MODE which is the game that boasts 256 players does not work properly.
Also let take into consideration ZIPPERS Claim to a NO LAG game. This was true upon release but less than 2 months later ZIPPER shut down all the overseas servers as well as all the US servers with exception to 2 Servers. One in Washington State and one in CALIF. From that point on MAG has definately had Lag issues and with so many foriegn players the server latency creates unfair advantages.
LOok I lover MAG and play daily but cant play DOmination and still have occasional freeze issues in other MODES. And that is wrong and this has been months not weeks. And when I say FREEZE I mean you have to shut the machine off everytime. This has happened over 100 times. You have to wonder if it has any effects on the actual hardware.
They've made significant changes and updates to the game through patches and DLC. They haven't just simply fixed bugs as you're implying.

Currently Being ModeratedRe: WILL ZIPPER ABANDON SOCOM4 LIKE THEY DID MAG????There's a point of diminishing returns with every game. For us to keep supporting something, it has to make financial sense - everyone here has to eat and pay for shelter, after all.
That said, we do still have work ongoing to support MAG. We're not done yet.--------------------

The error was people werent able to delete their characters on Valor whenever they wanted... You found the error sent me a message back and said it would be fixed.... Low and behold the game released and was out for 2 months and still nothing was done.
Just shows what kind of work you people do over there. Its amazing you acknowledged the problem but thats about all you did....

I'd love to pay to play Socom 4 if it meant superb support from Zipper.

Of course they will, it's standard practice this gen. Release game, release a patch or two, DLC, DLC, DLC, announce new game.
