so is this yellowdog linux os gonna be the only os for the ps3?

well is it? because if so then i dont see why anyone shouldnt just download it right away. will there be others, and if so u think better?

Time will tell. I'm sure people will start tearing into the PS3's bios and whatnot right off the bat. Give it some time, and it'll probably run just about any linux distro you want.
