PlayStation®3

Hey guys, I just modded my Dualshock 3 controller. Switched out the 4 status LED's with blue LED's and also added the 5th LED under the PS button, which turns off when the controller turns off. I don't feel like writing a lengthy tutorial, but for the people who are actually capable of doing this mod, these pics and some common sense should be all that you need. I used 5 blue 0805 surface mount LED's I purchased from ebay. It was like $25 for 50 of them. Here's the particular store: http://stores.ebay.com/Chi-Wing-LED-product-shop Enjoy

I am not responsible if you screw up your controller trying this. I did this last night and have played for about 3 hours with it and haven't had a problem. It is possible problems could arise, but highly unlikely being that its worked flawlessly so far. Oh, and for the status LED's, the (+) side is the top side and the side is the bottom side(closer to the ribbon connector).

EDIT: This is only for the Dualshock 3, NOT the standard SIXAXIS. The circuit boards are different. Thanks for adding that polishpride212.
EDIT #2: This will also work on the new SIXAXIS controllers that come with the 40gb PS3. Can't say about separately purchased ones, or the 80gb, but it DOES work for the one that's bundled with the 40gb version.
