Screen flashes!

when i start a game on my ps3 ...after the playstation 3 logo appears, i get these wierd screen flashes for a second and then the game starts...there are no other problems and the games run fine...the reason im worried is that my ps3 never did this before..started only yesterday... do i have reason to be concerned?? has any one else experienced this..??

Seems the output vid cable for me (move it a lil and see if the screen flashes)

it could just be the system downscaling or upscaling the resolution for the game.

yes, im using HDMI and my tv is set on 720p..so is it normal??
