im having the same problem here bro, ive done some research on the error code and ive found that many ppl are saying its a system defect... it sux... my suggestion would be to call PS and talk it out with them. hopefully they'll take it and fix it and return it, or send you a new console. best of luck to ya, and kno that theres many ppl with the same problem =\

yeah, I got the exact same message today. I just wanna play COD MW2

Same error for me. It was still working four hours ago. Now it's giving me that error message. 

It appears to be a problem with the network itself since a lot of people suddenly having it.

This is rediculous. What are they thinking. What nut job screwed things up in the office, ON A SUNDAY? Oh oh. I get it. The servers over heated and melted all of the silicon. OOPS! This is something I'd expect from Microsoft, not sony. Sony has never given me this much trouble. My speakers, sony. My subwoofer, sony. My TV, sony. My laptop, sony. Never had a problem with the PS1, the PS2. NOW THIS?

Ok, maybe I'm being a little bit durastic, but seriously. If this is some sort of matenance went wrong, they could at least have put up a notice that they were going to do some work on the servers or something. I get that crap in my email box all the time from NMCI. I don't even work on the weekends so those emails don't matter to me, but emails from sony when i'm gonna be playing all weekend long. That would kind of matter to me if I can't play my games. Way to let the ball drop sony. Way to go. Pros and Cons will reflect.
