  • Gotta wait till the PS4 gets some more exclusive titles, especially new IP's to fill the roster.

So at least let Horizon Zero Dawn come out and Uncharted so people can fall in love with these characters first, then they can sell a game with those characters in it fighting to the death.

But yeah I would really love a new Allstars game for PS4.

    cheers.

  • That...maybe difficult. The develoment team taht made PS all stars is out of business. So, it'll have to be up to another development team to do it. It's pssible, so stay tuned for news at E3.

  • I don't think they'll be able to use the same team since they broke off ties with them but I do hope they'll use the same gameplay.

Sony really does need to go for a sequel, though. It has a LOT of potential.

  • I liked PSASBR, but I'll say it. I'd rather it be more Smash bros style then a party-style fighting game. I'm all for habing tiered supers, but certain characters were OP or destroyed other characters combos, and I like the idea of playing king of the hill. Knocking people off the map is part of the fun.

Isn't Smash considered a party-style fighting game (even though party games are their own thing)? And isn't this game already similar to Smash Bros? Not sure what you mean.

If it were a different development team, it should be either NaughtyDog or Imsomiac like what the first game was going to be developed by.

  • Playstation all stars is a severly underrated video game. I would like to see this game (with additional content) appear on the playstation 4. I really believe the playstation 4 is lacking party games and that this game would be really wonderful as it could fill the gap that seems to be missing. Bolstering the roster with a few more well known and upcoming 1st party characters would be great. Aloy, Dart, Sora, spyro, crash bandicoot, GEX(just do it), Tomba, knack,  Jodie holmes(really some great stuff here with aiden), T'ai Fu( one of my favorite ps 1 characters), the wendingo from until dawn(sorry spoilers), The playroom robots, Delsin, Sir Galahad, the sorcerer from soul sacrifice, etc, theres sooo many. I have faith that the next iteration can build on what the first had started and really has a chance to shine here. The time is right, just get it done the fans will be  grateful and you'll see that in the sales.

  • None of you play whats left of the shell of the competitive community :/

  • Well, not everybody plays competitively.

I just really REALLY want a sequel now!

  • Well, I used to play online but now it's asking me to buy the online pass again (I guess my older one expired) so I just decided to play offline for now.

But, I would also love another All-Stars game. I actually just got Zeus and Isaac about a week ago, and it's really freshened the game up again! I'm having a blast and just wishing I could add some new characters like Delsin or Crash or someone else. Hopefully it won't be too long before they announce a sequel.

  • I've thought that a sequel to PSASBR should be an open-world fighter like J-Stars Victory VS, or Anarchy Reigns with a lot more characters

What? No way! Terrible idea. Why in the world would you want that? It should stay a 2D platform fighting game, which I'm more of a fan of. I want all of the characters on one screen.

  • I would still play this game a lot if they had ps4 port. Since i moved onto ps4 i dont get to use my ps3 that often. But i still play it sometimes. God if only theres even one leaked news about a sequel i would still be happy. People from sony can u hear us ? Give us something already.

  • Wait so Open-World Combat is worse than having to kill your opponent with super moves!? Also if I wanted all characters to stay on the same screen I would have this be more like Power Stone.

Yeah, if you ask me. I don't want it to be Open-World Combat, as I really don't like being knocked away and having to keep searching for my opponents over and over. I want to keep up with them and see the whole stage all at the same time. I'll gladly keep the supers over that (I never had a problem with the supers anyway). Heck, I don't even want this to be like Power Stone but I still perfer that over Open-World combat.

But really, what's wrong with just leaving it a 2D platform fighting game? Nobody was complaining about that and it played pretty well so it really makes no sense to change it.

  • Tbh it really doesn't matter if it's 2D or 3D as long as it's good. Hell I Would probably go with a Marvel vs Capcom Style fighter

  • Another thing you gotta think about is how a character like Parappa can work in a 3D fighting game. He's too flat to work in that kind of game.

  • Say does anyone think a sequel should be a Marvel vs Capcom/Skullgirls Style Fighter with Tag-Team, or should it be more accessible to casuals in someway?

  • Then Again: That's what MUGEN is for

  • You know, lately I've been thinking, what if Sony had Vicarious Visions to do a sequel? They did the Crash games on GBA, they designed Crash and other things in Skylanders, and now they're doing the Crash HD remakes. They seem to be pretty good with platformers so maybe they could bring that same magic to a PlayStation All-Stars game.

  • Good Point. Vicarious Visions are probably the only ones who can make Round 2 Happen.

  • ....Vicarious Visions.....is own by Activision...

  • Sony has a new partnership with Activision...

    0
  • but still them developing All Stars? I don't see that happening at all

  • Why not? They seem to be good with platformers and I also like what they've done with Crash. Seems like a trustworthy developer to me. Plus, if they were to develop a sequel, I don't see why Crash and Spyro wouldn't make it in.
